KRUMP Shout out to Judy–We Will Miss You

March 4, 2011

I spent time with Debra & her beautiful sister Judy during the holidays. It’s a privilege that wouldn’t have happen if my husband were in the states. At the time I didn’t see it as a blessing now I reflect on how amazingly circumstances put you in the right place at the right time.

What memories we made in a week together. The main reason I was in Charlotte the week before Christmas is because my husband is deployed & I didn’t want to be alone. New in the area were we live I had no one to be with or cook for or celebrate with I was on my way to a pity party and I decided to go to the Charlotte airport instead.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when Judy had an appetite for my Ham Hocks & Collard greens (I had to make two pots in a week). FYI she did have help. She also loved my peach cobbler. .

My best memory is when we were working on a photo maker project for my deployed husband. He assigned me the task of sending 20 pictures everyday. I failed miserably because I’ve been so busy on the road working. During his 6 month deployment my wonderful husband sent me beautiful silks, jewelry etc. from various ports (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand). I packed all the outfits he sent me & added a sexy Santa help outfit to the mix and took them with me to North Carolina.

After getting a wonderful haircut from a Paul Mitchell master stylist at Studio 321, the Salon.  I picked up 2 huge bottles of Riesling wines and sauced the girls up while I did a Victoria's Secret type fashion show. Debra took the pictures and Judy directs me in poses. It was hysterical. Judy’s laughing her head off. When we finished Judy went to bed but every 5 minutes she would get up with another pose idea and I would have to get dressed all over again. She did that 3 times. It was hysterical. We ended up with 80 pictures to send my husband – who now thinks I’m the best wife in the world. Here is one of the less spice pictures.

I’m so thankful I could meet and spend time with Judy making such a wonderful memory. I couldn’t fix her cancer but I could feed her with love and quality time. I’m so grateful for that. My good friend, colleague and business partner Debra Fox lost her sister last week in her fight against cancer. The family celebrates Judy’s life this week at services in Kansas and we Kindly Radiantly Uplifting Motivating & Praising (KRUMP) her life. Who do you want to KRUMP today?

Delta I’m a Gold Medallion but that’s not why you ROCK!

I made it to Gold Medallion, hurray! But that’s not why I’m giving Delta Airlines a KRUMP shout out it’s because of the excellent customer service experience I had. My bad I forgot to write down the reps name but she had a vibrant personality and I bet you can look at my reservation and figure out who help me. I was impressed that as soon as we connected, it was like she had ESP, because she knew exactly wh...
